  • Does Estrogen Replacement Therapy Help with Incontinence?

Low estrogen levels are associated with a number of symptoms, one of which is urinary incontinence. In our latest blog post, Dr. Anna Garrett shares some of her knowledge of estrogen replacement therapy as a treatment for bladder leakage and urinary incontinence. What have been your experiences with estrogen replacement therapy? Did it have any effect on your bladder control?

Estrogen therapy has long been in use as a treatment for menopausal symptoms. It is considered as the most effective therapy for vasomotor symptoms as well. Generally, women have the “estrogen” hormone in body, which is responsible for their monthly period. It helps in making pelvic floor strong, agile and flexible to provide better control over bladder and bowel function.
